Definition
The Past Simple (Past Indefinite) Tense is used to describe an action, event, or situation that started and finished in the past. It often indicates a completed action with a definite past time.

1. Affirmative Form

2. Negative Sentence

Uses of the Past Simple Tense
1. Completed Action in the Past
It describes an action that began and ended in the past.
Examples:

2. Historical Facts or Past Events
It is used to describe historical events or facts that happened in the past.
Examples:
